Perform Crawler

A crawler is a software program that gathers information about websites like text content, meta-data, images etc. Perform crawlers need access to advertiser landing pages for successful running of campaigns.

HOW THE CRAWLER WORKS

Any URLs provided by the advertiser in campaigns (for example – destination URL, Keyword URL) will be used for automatic crawling of content and meta-data. The data collected is used for URL verification, contextual analysis etc.

Note: The crawler will also attempt to access pages that redirect i.e. when the original URLs redirect to other pages, the crawler will access the original URLs to determine that a redirect is in place. Therefore, the crawler’s visit to the original pages will appear in your access logs.

CRAWLER USER AGENTS

Our crawler needs access to your URLs for successful running of campaigns. It might happen that the crawler is unable to scan the content of the page because you have blocked the crawler. In those cases, you will need to whitelist our crawler.
